Located near Tobacco Caye, Belize, this island is home to frigatebirds and brown footed boobies. This island is protected, and tourists are not allowed to dock and set foot on the island premises. In 2001, a hurricane totaled the mangrove forest situated on this island, yet birds continued to roost here. The mangrove forest regrew to full capacity, and the pre-existing ecosystem has once again been restored.
